This was my late father's sod airstrip, when he owned a couple small planes. One, a Trojan built in 1950, is still in the family, but no longer at this strip. The strip is partially grown over with unmaintained xmas tree farm, but appears to be still registered with FAA as a possible emergency landing strip. Perhaps an ultralite could use it, but I'm not sure there is enough open space for an LSA, unless you didn't mind ripping wings off your plane? Andrews University Airport about ten miles away in Berrien Springs is probably a much better choice for all but the most dire emergencies.
